ALHAJI OYESIKU ADEGBOYEGA

Alhaji Oyesiku Adelu is a development communications expert with concentration on electronic media journalism/media practice.

He holds a B.A (Hons) and a Masters degree in Communications and Language Arts from Nigeria’s premier University, the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, South West Nigeria.

He cut his journalism tooth at the then Bauchi State Radio and Television (BARTV) and thereafter taught briefly at Universal Tutorial College, Ile Ife (Now The Polytechnic) before joining the Nation House Press,  publishers of the defunct SENTINEL MAGAZINE under the tutelage of the late five star investigative journalist,  Dr. Stanley Macebuh.

Adelu later moved on to join the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation in 1995.He proved to be extensively talented as a newshound both in print and electronic media as he won many awards even after switching from print journalism practice to electronic journalism. He won the ‘Star Broadcaster’ Award by the Osun State Government in 1998, Best Broadcast Journalist Award by the Osun State Council of NUJ in 1999, Overall Best Staff Award by OSBC chapel of NUJ in 2000 and Best Agricutural reporting Award by Neslè in 2003 among others.

His dexterity and professionalism prolonged his long service as state house correspondent of OSBC at the Osun State Governor’s Office for 8 years from 1995-2003 covering the activities of 5 different state executives, a record yet unbeaten by anyone in the establishment.

Adelu has visited virtually all parts of Nigeria,the West African Sub-Region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the course of duty.

He is a writer,motivational speaker,actor,master of ceremonies and a student of law presently. Adelu is happily married and the union is fruitfully blessed.
